Our Primary Focus Areas
Safe and Accessible Transportation Options
Englewood is a small community that could be easy and comfortable for all to enjoy by walking or wheeling, not just driving. Englewood is crisscrossed by multi-lane high-speed roads designed to get cars through, not people to, our city. We want an Englewood that prioritizes calm streets, comfortable sidewalks and bike lanes, and freedom of mobility for all, including people with disabilities and people who don’t use cars.
Affordable and Varied Housing Options
As an inner-ring suburb, Englewood doesn’t have much undeveloped space. Englewood’s future development is going to be based on adapting the existing landscape to accommodate abundant and affordable housing options for all income levels and needs. We support adding housing density through new development, upzoning, and other methods. We believe the city should actively pursue below-market and non-traditional housing development to invite anyone who wants to live in Englewood to find a place to live here.
Strong Public Education
Englewood’s strength as a community starts with its schools. Our small, neighborhood-based schools can provide every learner with a high-quality education in modern facilities—made possible by the continued investment of Englewood residents. Beyond education, our schools connect families, strengthen neighborhoods, and prepare students to become engaged members of our diverse and growing city. We believe that encouraging partnership between the citizens, the City of Englewood, local businesses, and Englewood Schools will strengthen our community as a whole. We show our support for Englewood Schools by helping to boost positive messages celebrating the great things going on in these buildings.
Welcoming and Inclusive Community
Englewood is a community that is small enough to know your neighbors and still large enough to offer an incredible diversity of options for shopping, dining, and recreation. We can continue to develop those assets by increasing the sense of community and encouraging a wider array of businesses and organizations to locate in Englewood. We want an Englewood that is based around walkable neighborhoods, people-first development, and the community spirit that already makes Englewood special.
